Legends of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar: Live from Maui
The crew up at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua are still hard at work. This is a follow up release to the Masters of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar - Volume 1, the 2006 Best Hawaiian Music Album Grammy winner.
Produced by George Kahumoku Jr, Daniel Ho, Paul Konwiser, and Wayne Wong on the Daniel Ho Creations label, this CD uniquely captures some of the best known Hawaiian musicians performing in a live setting. There's a nice variety featuring both instrumentals and vocals selections. It's hard to believe that the weekly Masters concert series is in its fourth year and it's great that this CD allows the music to be enjoyed beyond the Ritz-Carlton.
