Aloha Kakou, I am from the island of O'ahu where I am a preachool teacher. Some of the things that I like doing are playing the piano, playing sports, dining out, singing, going to concerts, boogie boarding, going to the beach, being around with my friends(hoaloha)and my 'ohana, learning 'Olelo Hawai'i (hawaiian language) and the culture, writing poetry, listening to all kinds of music(except jazz or country), chatting on IM, e-mailing friends, going to the movies, going to church, teaching Sunday school and Children's church. I also love meeting new people. I also took all my 'Olelo Hawai'i (Hawaiian language) up to the 202 level in college and took all of my Hawaiian culture classes too. Want to wala'au with me? Please feel free to e-mail me and I'll e-mail you back.

Aloha,
We truly are ohana, many of us have known each other for years, and it is always interesting to meet new people here. And who knows, sometime over the years we may actually get together in person somewhere, somehow. Welcome, I hope you join us in our banter.

Reid - you ninnie - Why Alana, of course.
I think I would be safe to say that we all (on Taropatch) are willing to teach you. Some are more geographically disadvantaged than others.
Ray Sowders lives near you. He plays at the Hyatt regency Waikiki a few nights a week (last I heard Tue/Sat/Sun at 5:00-6:00. You can check out his web site at: http://www.raysowders.com/default.asp
His contact information is listed there.
I met with him a few weeks ago for some good talk story and lessons. |

Aloha Alana!! Welcome to the TP. I'll be in Waipuhu next Friday (12/22) me & PuaHo always make a visit to Ewa, (good memories and beach strolling... no mo seaweed though). I can spare a few hours and show you the basics if you like. Don't worry about having a guitar if you don't have one, I always pack two when I go. I'll email you. ~slkho |

Alana, Yake "Hadji" up on his offer. But keep him away from any dogs. PauHo may have her ukulele.
