Aloha e Hawaiian Music Fan 138,

Keali does write some good music indeed. Another very good song-writer is Dennis Kamakahi (possibly the best Hawaiian songwriter currently alive).

However,This is also an often-covered topic. You can look at the following posts to see what folks have already posted in this general topic:

"Desert Island CD Picks"

"Your Dream Music Library"

and several other threads exist on a similar theme.

Maybe Andy can make a sticky topic such as "Favorite Songs / Mele Punahele" and then newbies can add their favorites to the big list in a way similar to how they add their bios. Hmmm...

Hiki mai, I hate to ask you this, but which Keali'i are you referring to?

I like your idea. Run it by Andy and see what he says.

Mahalo!

Oh, another one I forgot to add was:
He'e'ia - Raiatea Helm

He kehau ho'oma'ema'e ke aloha.

Some great songs mentioned already. I'll add one of my favorites by Bill Keale on his "After the Rain" album. The song is "Kalamaula". When he goes falsetto on this song it's just amazing.

What? You mean high "E" is the TOP string. No way dude! That changes everything!
