Wow! This young man is very talented, both in his guitar playing and his singing. I stumbled over him on the Makaha Sons web-site and then went to his personal web site at: [url]http://www.barrykimokeo.com/home.html/url]. I love the samples on his web site that showcase some of his music...especially "Keiki Mahine" which is one of my favorite mele. I wrote to him to thank him for sharing his beautiful music and he was kind enough to write back, sharing some of his mana`o.
Does anyone know if he has any music released for purchase? I surely would like to listed to that beautiful music while I am waiting for the couple of feet of snow that has recently dumped on us to melt.

Please support this nice young man. (Need to fix him up with my daughter, if he is not already taken) Such a nice boy! You can tell I'm an old lady when I say that, but he is nice:

Aloha Wanda and Paul! How's everything! It's so nice to hear that you'll be coming to visit us here! It's also so wonderful that you try and find as much music as you can! That's great! I have heard of the Taropatch. net site, and i'll be sure to check it out. Nice to hear that you'll also be staying at The Waikiki beach hotel and will get to go to Tiki's. There's lots of music there and it's a pretty happening place. Also, Ray Sowders is a Really good Slack key player and a nice guy. I'll be playing at Chai's on Mondays from 7:00 to 9:00 pm with Mr.Jerry Santos (the legend!) and Mr. Hoku Zuttermeister (who also has an awesome Debut CD out, really fantastic falsetto!) and, I also play with my own group and do my own material over at the newly opened Embassy Suites Hotel on Lewers Street every Sundays from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Poolside. Please come and visit us if your schedule allows! We'd love to have you folks! Thank you very much for the info and it's nice to hear from you again, and i'm looking forward to meeting you folks! Take care and have a great day and i'll see you folks soon! Aloha, a hui hou, Barry |

I signed up on his e-mail list--thanks, Wanda. Plus, from the photos on his website, it looks as if Barry plays ukulele, too. I know lots of folks "play at" ukulele, but to have two pix of him playing an ukulele on his site, I figured he must be pretty good on that instrument, too. |
