Earlier today I went with my partner Alison to a class given by the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. Have any of you come across these people? They're great players, friendly and patient teachers, and very, very clever.

We had a great afternoon, playing with about 20 other people (including at least two Americans! Excellent!) and played through a variety of stuff - from harmonising a simple tune to some quite tricky stuff like 'Ain't Misbehavin''.

We've had a great day and I'm going to bed with a grin on my face. If they're ever in you're area, you might like to check them out. http://www.ukuleleorchestra.com

They've got some videos on YouTube. Their "Hootenaney" (SP?) appearance is included. I enjoy their attitude toward attempting works that aren't traditionally associated with the ukulele. It's quite moving to see the group all playing one work on ukuleles and handling different aspects of the overall arrangement. Great fun!

Thank you.
