I've heard that there is an excellent guitar store here. I'm changing out my strings and one peg is stuck with the little nut caught so I need to find a repair person.
I will be here in San Jose until early afternoon.

If you are in San Jose, you can try the Guitar Showcase on Bascom Avenue:

They are not Luthiers, but they have several decent guitar mechanics.

Does not sound like you need a luthier, maybe just a pair of pliers!

Mark Brown is a good Luthier in Campbell (closer to SJ)
Gryphon Strings are Luthiers up in Palo Alto (farther away).

I'm all set for Keoki's class this PM... nice folks, and had strings on sale.
