A frequent topic in this forum is "where can I hear Hawaiian music?" -- whether online, or live. An online source is the tiny, all-volunteer, listener-supported, community radio station on Kaua`i -- KKCR. I've supported this station since before it began...and now we're celebrating our 10th year on-air (uiha!).
Without the financial support of listeners (and the few grants we struggle to get/keep each year), the station would not survive. We have two pledge drives annually, and the Spring 2007 drive began this week. Lots of perks for subscribers, not the least of which is 10 Hawaiian Airlines miles for every dollar pledged:
