Aloha all,
For all you slack Key players, don't miss out spending an hour with Keoki this monday in Berkeley. If you just came back from Maui, you know what a great instructor he is. He has so much more to share! If you couldn't make Uncle's camp, take advantage of Keoki being with us here in our back yard.
I wanted to EXTEND the EARLY BIRD SPECIAL to all TARO PATCH MEMBERS if you are just getting word of this now. Hopefully you can join us and spend a wonderful evening with Uncle George and Keoki. The Hawaiian Song workshop is filling fast, but would love to share this with as many people as possible because it is so great! Call TODAY to reserve your spot and be sure to mention TARO PATCH when you call. 415-452-8720.
I just wanted to share a few thoughts from the beginning of the Kamakahi/Kahumoku tour at the Kuumbwa last night. If you are catching shows this week, you are in for a huge treat! It was great to see Keoki, Uncle Dennis and David up there! Uncle George joins them tonight at the Palms!
David is growing up and maturing both in life and in his music! Featured as a soloist last night, he sang with heart and played a few numbers that I hadn't heard before! He also does what I LOVE...played a few blues licks in within his pa'ani's. Being newly ingaged suit both him and dad.
Uncle Dennis is always magic on stage. Pushing for grandkids already, his happiness comes through his music. A great story teller, we learned more about the Hawaiian culture and ties from the mainland to the islands.
Loving Keoki's vocals, he just sings with such heart and soul. He gives us so much Aloha through his music. As usual, he made me long for smoked meat and poi, and paints such an image of Hawaii that makes you want to just jump on a plane that moment.
Ahhh, thanks to the guys for bringing Hawaii to us... Susie |
