Lawrence,

Big Mahalo Nuis for taking the Open Mic over this month. I'll be thinking of all of you from Hilo.

Hi Lawrence,

Thanks for coordinating this month's open mic. Nice poster--I never noticed that view from the coffee shop before. It's been a while, but I'm planning to come so please save a spot for me. I've been suffering from PSKWS (post slack key workshop syndrome) so it'll be great to see everyone tomorrow and also see the Kahumoku/Kamakahi Fathers & Sons concert at Freight & Salvage on Friday.

Dave, sorry I'll miss you. Have fun on the Big Island.

Aloha,

Doug

I better start practicing!

Hope to see you, Lawrence, but if not, it was great to see you on Maui!

Small, but quality group.

Doug,
Didn't get to stay for the full set -- but mahalo nui for the Ahe Lau Makani. Not sure if you heard (actually how could you not) -- but Kevin really got into your playing. First time he responded to slack key with such enthusiasm.

Raymond,

What a great surprise to see you and your family at the open mic. It was so nice to finally meet Linda and baby Kevin. He is such a cute little guy with a great demeanor. You and Linda are very blessed.

Art and Sil told me about Kevin's reaction to my song and I thought they were kidding me. When they described how he was getting into it, I had to smile. Glad we have a new slack key fan and future musician!

Aloha,

Doug
