From that Clyde "Kindy" Sproat clip on You Tube, he played Moani Ke Ala, another great song written my a member of the royal `ohana.

On the "Live at Hank's Place" CD by Makaha Sons of Ni`ihau, they do this, but then sing a song to same tune in English about the girl in the yellow holoku. http://www.mele.com/music/artist/makaha+sons+of+ni%60ihau/live+-+hank%27s+place+presents/

Is this just something unique which the Makaha Sons did or is it a traditional thing? I don't believe I've heard the part about the yellow holoku by anyone else other than them.

You will see when you receive your Na Mele Paniolo CD from the Honolulu Academy that Clyde "Kindy" Sproat also includes the verse in English about the girl in the yellow holoku. According to the liner notes, the verse in English was not part of the original, but added at a later date.

Thank you SO MUCH, Wanda for the link to Clyde singing Moanike'ala on YouTube. This is a song I sing alot and I am thrilled to see Clyde perform it. MAHALO MAHALO MAHALO
