I am paricularly interested in Kanaka Uka Oma `opio about a kanaka who feeds and cares for all the critters. Does anyone know anything about this mele? I could not find it on huapala.org. It is a jolly song and I would like to learn it.
This CD is so good. Pekelo has an old voice - purely Hawaiian in nature and heart with the wisom and mana`o of his kupuna. There is a great mix on songs on here and some good guitar pickin', too. If you have it, give it a listen once more; If you don't have it, Auntie Maria has it and I am sure she would be happy to send one to you.
Aloha: Check out Pekelo at this year's Na Hoku Hanohano Awards evening, and hear from him just prior to winning his Hoku at www.territorialairwaves.com.
