Ukulele
The ship, the "Ravenscraig" arrived in Honolulu harbor on 8/22/1879, delivering the 2nd group of Portuguese immigrants. On board was the "braguinha" and musicians to play it. The ukulele would soon evolve from this instrument.

big deal... no more significant then the day a cave man noticed that a rope could make noise when you brush up against it. Thus the biginning of all stringed instruments.

Yeah, but can anyone tell me exactly what DAY that was? Any excuse to celebrate and play music, that's what I'm looking for here. You can pick a random day, I'll be happy with that. Hey - we can probably even get a Wikipedia entry going for Rope Music Day. Play on!

The young lad went trick or treating one Halloween dressed as a pirate. He rang a door bell and said "trick or treat". A middle aged gentleman opened the door and delighted in the young lad's pirate costume. As the gentleman was filling the lad's bad with treats, he ased the lad, "Where are your buccaneers?" The lad told him "under my buckin' hat".

Oops. I nevah like keedz get sent home from school with note lettah.
