A number of Christmas caroles have been translated into Hawaiian..... and some of the hymns as well. |

Artist create things. Restrictions can stiffle creativity. Jawaiian is an example of 2 cultural idioms. The new Jon DeMello album is an example of classical and Hawaiian mix. The last Kapono album, I'm not sure what that was, but I like it. I am in favor of continuing culture by opening and changing with the times. |

Sorry I haven't been on here for a couple days. I had a hoaloha visiting, and then, ua hana au i keia la. I just wanted to say mahalo to all of you for allowing me to continue reading your facts about the culture of the 'aina and your opinions on all kine stuff.
E Momi, that wasn't really what I meant -- I meant pop songs that were originally written in 'olelo, but that was still very interesting to read. Mahalo nui loa.

Keali`i Reichel's remix version of "Ka Nohona Pili Kai" sounds like pop. |

This question is for Matt: Have you heard the remix of "Kawaipunahele?" |

It was a CD single. We've chatted elsewhere on TP about its merits (or lack thereof, depending on your p-o-v). |

'Ae. I don't know if you can listen to at least a clip of it anywhere online. I have it in my windows media player though. |
