Some swell pictures of winners of Na Hoku awards over the past 30 years at the following: http://www.nahokuhanohano.org/photo/musicians

See if you know who they are. Picture #2 has someone hiding behind a tree. See if you can figure out who that is.

Many of them I did not know, but our friend Bill Wynne...now, he is akamai. So, later on I will post the anwers. Give it a shot. Many of our favorites in their younger days.

Sonny Chillingworth. I am guessing this is a promotional photo from the 1977 Sons of Hawaii LP which featured Sonny Chillingworth.

These photos are really special. They were taken during the recording of their "Live at Sounds of Hawaii" LP. (Sounds of Hawaii was the preeminent recording studio in Hawai`i in the pre-digital era.) The boys decided to try to recreate a live feeling for this record, so they invited a couple dozen of their friends and family into the studio for the recording sessions.
