Easterners,
I've never been, but those who have rave over the week long Guitar Workshop at Swannanoa every year (near Asheville, NC). While drooling over the upcoming event, someone mentioned Patrick Landeza would be there along with other notables like Muriel Anderson. There must have been a newsletter because the Swannanoa site doesn't list any of this yet. Go here for the gossip.
Getting slack key included along with claw hammer banjo, jazz, and the blues shows how slack key is growing in popularity.

Aloha Pauline...the rumor is true!! We recently locked in Swannanoa Workshop in North Carolina..Very excited because it sounds like a great event, after, I plan to join Led in West Virginia and a brief East Coast Run!!
You thinking about going to NC?? Wow..I'm amazed that that you found out...I don't think they've advertised it yet!!HA!!

Hi Patrick,
I won't be going. Too far for this Seattle area gal. Swananoa and you were mentioned in an Acousitic Guitar mag. forum post. Click the word "here" in my first post. The interenet makes the world very, very small. 
I think I've blown a chance or two when you were up in this area.

Hey Patrick, way to go.
You'll have a ball at Swannanoa, its a very cool place. Be sure you find some time off to explore the area - the Blue Ridge Parkway is soooo beautiful.
I'll be there for another event, but not at the same time as you. Too bad, don't know when we're going to finally meet up. But we're getting closer, eh?
As for the rest of the Taro Patch community, partiularly those back east -- jump on this opportunity to study slack key in a great setting. info at www.swangathering.com
