Hi, people....I arrived at this forum via a quest. Here`s my story....I was a haole GI (I know, lowest form of life in the islands but I wasn`t given a choice, being a draftee) stationed at Schofield Barracks from March of 70 through September of 71. I got here because I was trying to find a list of the bands that performed at the Sunshine Music Festival in Diamond Head Crater on Jan 1st of 1971. The only one I can remember is Santana. Can anybody help me out with the other bands that were there? I remember it as being a most awesome concert. Thanks
That was long time ago but maybe Steve miller Band was one of 'em So was Buddy miles but these guys may have played at other Diamond Head Festivals. Welcome to the site just want you know that the emphasis is on Hawaiian music not music in Hawai'i.
