                       Howzit everyone?
Just searching around to see if anyone knows the lyrics to this beautiful song. I currently have the version by Hui'Ohana but with no lyrics to sing to. I think this song was written by Kawai Cockett but not sure. I've looked and searched all over but I think this song could be in some older books.(hopefully one of yours) Any help would be much appreciated. Small kine intro about myself. My names Alika, howzit? Instruments of choice would be ukulele and guitar. I started off playing reggae but now mostly jam traditional hawaiian music, kihoalu style. Much mahalos for any help with my problem.
  Mahalos again -alika

Lyrics and translation are included in the liner notes of Kawai Cockett's CD "A Traditional Hawaiian": http://www.mele.com/music/artist/kawai+cockett/a+traditional+hawaiian/
He didn't write it; liner notes classify it as "traditional". Notes also mention that the song was taught to Kawai by Tina Ka`apana. |

   E 'Alika e,
I am still in high school. However, I love to sing, play piano, listen to music, study languages, write, and surf. The languages I'm learning are Deutsch, espanol, and 'olelo Hawai'i. Please send me an e-mail. I'd like to share something with you.
