A LIVING ROOM CONCERT OF SLACK KEY GUITAR WITH KEOLA BEAMER, GEORGE KAHUMOKU JR, OZZIE KOTANI

Hawaiian Slack Key is a special style of guitar playing with the strings slightly looser than normal. It was born in Hawaii and in the last decade has experienced a rebirth through George Winston's Dancing Cat Records. In the heart of winter, three virtuosos bring some Hawaiian sunshine into the Echoes living room. Keola Beamer is the reigning king of Hawaiian Slack key and has a new album called SOLILOQUY (Dancing Cat). George Kahumoku, Jr. is one of the few slack key players who use a twelve string guitar. His latest is SWEET & SASSY (Keila Farm Records). Ozzie Kotani is from the younger slacker generation and his new album is TO HONOR A QUEEN (Dancing Cat) on which he plays the music of Hawaii's last Queen, Lili'uokalani. We'll hear these low key masters in solos, duos and a rare trio performance.

I'm out of luck. Sometimes Echoes archives their shows on the net, but I couldn't find this one. Those who can, enjoy.
