Great videos! Imagine having to restring that double neck 12-string? I'm amazed a luthier would even try to build such an instrument. It's a reminder that even if the Cazimero sound isn't your cup of 'awa, they created almost singlehandedly a genre of Hawaiian music with their smooth vocals and complex harmonies, strummed guitar work that uses a variety of scales for transitions and a rock and roll approach to their rhythms. Very nice. The kane hula is awesome, too. After hearing "No'eno'e Maika'i" a long time ago, I thought the hula would have to very athletic and powerful. It was. Thanks to Mountain Apple for letting these clips go up on Youtube. Jesse Tinsley |
