Aloha e TP! I am going to Honolulu on Oahu and I am wondering if there is a place to rent or borrow a guitar from?
I am going to be helping my son in his time of need at Castle Memorial Hospital and I wanted to share some guitar music with him while I am there.
If anyone can help me with suggestions or ideas, please e-mail me. Mahalo nui me kou kokua!

If you don't particularly care about the quality of the instrument, Easy Music Center on King Street might be able to hook you up. I know they do equipment rentals of all kinds. So why not a guitar?

I really don't know if they do that sort of thing but there's a small guitar shop a couple of miles down the road in Kailua called Coconut Grove Music. They're good guys, sell new and used instruments and you might be able to arrange something with them. Try giving them a call.
That's a nice thing to do for your son. I hope all turns out well for you both. |
Aloha, John A. |

I believe it has been suggest here somewhere and I thought it was such a great Idea not mine mind you but a great idea. How about buying an inexpensive one play it while you are there enjoy it and then when you are ready to leave pass it on maybe to someone at the hospital who either plays or wants to learn there are probible tons who do not have there insterments with them and would love the chance. Probible be about the same price as a rental. |

I forgot about Dan's, but they are pretty good guys and I bet they would hook you up, too. |

I will be staying at the Prince Edward Hotel/Motel three (Tues, Wed, and Thu) days and then I will be staying at a friends home until Monday the 10th. Unfortunately, they don't kanikapila.
My son is at Castle Hospital so I will be there a lot as well. |
