Being of Deutsches decent and having been sitting in the garage when a few of mine Granpapa's homebrew exploded ( He was not allowed to have them in the house and well we were not supposed to be in the Garage but how else are you supposed to sneak a taste.) I believe that If it Tastes good and you like it DRINK it other wise use the stuff to steam crabs.
worrying about all the other stuff only gives you a migraine and besides who cares Good beer tates good or else why drink it. I will never understand Lite beer. or drinking to get buzzed??? just my humble opinion. I for one look forward to a taste test. |

I'm with you on the lite beer. I'm thinking anyone that has two beers is going to get a buzz and most people like it...don't they?
On a related subject, I guess Clinton didn't inhale...hehehe

Now you have it. For the sake of Science, we need to set up a taste test. Each of us should get eleven of our favorite beers and wrap them in paper bags along with a Primo. After peforming an intensive double blind test, in which we drink them all in an afternoon, we can then report back on which tasted best!

World Beer Cup is in San Diego in April. I'm a steward and I'll have access to the judges comments. It'll be interesting to see which class they enter and how it does. Maybe I can even pick up a can or bottle from the leftovers. |

Bill, They have entertainment during half-time at the World Beer Cup? What does the "cup" look like? It is double elimination or round robin? Enquiring Minds Want To Know (EMWTK). |

Yeah, the pre game show last year was a training session on off flavors in lagers. That was the night before the first day of judging.
Day 1 -- work -- stewarding involves a lot of step 'n fetch it kind of stuff with great attention to detail.
The halftime show was that night -- we went to a reception with the judges and organizers -- got to meet and talk with some of the worlds truly refined beer palates.
Day 2 -- more work.
End of day 2 -- load 5 cases of randomly packaged leftover bottles into the truck and drive home. That's the reward -- some of the bottles are great, some are of the "Hello drain!" variety.
