I just talked with Jack. He fell on his stairs down to the laundry and cracked 3 ribs and a bone in his neck. Surgery tomorrow, home next week. (Bad timing for a musician!). He's in good spirits and is confident of a good outcome. He'll have to wear one of those big "leis" for neck support. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

I hope all goes well with the surgery and recovery. Prayers are heading out from Cleveland.

You can email Jack through Harborview's website: link

This URL will take you to their Email-a-Patient page. He's admitted under the name John Aldrich. I don't know his room number, but the form doesn't seem to need that information.

Hey Jack -

My dog had to wear one of those collars once. Kept him from licking his, ummm...

I guess you won't be able to, either.

Get better soon.

I checked in with Harborview. Jack came through the procedure fine. Resting and mending.

Jack - please feel better. I know you won't be able to sleep in the hospital. They will wake you up to see if you want a sleeping pill. And the red jello on that lunch tray does indeed leave permanent stains.

You helped so much to brigthen my day during my recover, I surely wish the same for you. Your kind, big, heart will aid so much in your recovery.

I talked to Jack this morning. He's doing well considering that he had 2 vertebrae fused. He's off the ventilator and is feeling a bit ornery, a good thing.

I would like to say something witty and semi-intelligent at this point to lift his spirits...

...But right now, I don't know Jack!

Get well Brah!
