A few years ago when I made my first guitar, i found a site on line where i could download a fret spacing chart for any scale length I wanted. I have since lost that site. Does anyone know of such a site that still exists? Google only brings up books for sale. What I really want is a chart for a concert size ukulele. I tried to log on to www.mimf.com, a site I had visited several times during that first construction period, but each time the window came back, "not found". Anybody know about that site??

There's a small typo in your link. Try it again. www.mimf.com |

That is weird. The typo was just that. Can't imagine someone dropping a comma on the URL line. The site must have been down for a bit, MIMF is a well know site.

i found fretcalc, which allows me to tyoe in a scale length and it automatically prints out the measurements for each fret space. But, the one i found years ago also allowed you to print out the fretboard itself (no, not the wood, that would be too easy) on a piece of paper which could then be taped to the side of the real fretboard and used as a visual guide to cut the slots. Can't seem to make this one work that way. Wah, wah, wah.... |
