Mr. Dog!
I keep hoping to make it to open mic one of these days. Trouble is, I still can't sing too well with the crooked mouth and gaping eye. It's been 11 weeks, and progress has been very slow with the Bell's Palsy. Tried accupuncture like you suggested, but it was somewhat stressful! I just have such an aversion to any kind of needle, I'll never be a drug addict... Nor do I like to go to the dentist!
One of these days I'll get up enough courage to sing in public again. Maybe next Tuesday, but please check incoming guests for rotten tomatoes.
Mucho aloha,
Julie |

Julie, you can always come and listen. We'd love to see you.
I read an med journal the other day that suggested a relationship of Bells with Lyme Disease. You live in the woods. Have you been tested? I had many a tick when I lived in Ben Lomond.
Love ya

Mr. Stovich,
You are so astute!
I think I would make a great Quasi-modo because someone took a photo of our ski group this last weekend and I made the mistake of trying to smile. Yikes! So much for trying to look normal...
Anyway, Mr. Dog, dear friend, maybe I'll just come and listen then. And thank you for the info, I am always under the trees in my garden, and several months ago I did have a tiny little tick try to embed itself into my side, but I ripped it out, and had no consequent rash or any of the tell-tale signs of Lyme's. However, on your recommendation, I will get tested for it. Thanks for bringing that up.
Love, Julie

Hi Dave,
Unfortunately, I won't be able to make this open mic. Have fun and see you at the next one!

For all to know, the infamous "Bullseye Rash" aquainted with Lyme Disease is not always present. Any tic you find on yourself should be removed carefully with tweezers, and placed in alcohol in a small container . Take the tick with you to the Dr. For more info: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/lyme/index.htm The long-term effects of Lyme are nothing to fool with. Edit: Sorry to hijack the thread, but it seemed important to speak up before I forget. Paul |
