May I call your attention to the beautiful singing voice of Lorna Lim. I first heard her music on the following: http://www.mele.com/music/artist/keoki+kahumoku/hula+big+island+style/ I really like Sweet Ka Makani Ke Kaiaulu and would like to learn it. I checked huapala.org and cannot find the lyrics. Does anyone know the lyrics? I also truly cherish "E Pili Mai" when sung in her sweet, gentle voice. To me, it is one of those most romantic Hawaiian songs.
We also have "The Pride of Punahele", a compilation CD (which is great, by the way). I love the way the Lim family does Pua `Olena. http://www.mele.com/music/artist/amy+hanaiali%60i+gilliom/pride+of+punahele+ii/
Sad that many of the Lim Family recordings are out of print. However, I shall investigate those thqt are available and add more of Lorna's vocals to our collection.

Yes, she has a beautiful voice indeed. Pua `Olena is one of my favorites because of its sentimental value to me. |

Additionally, she sings "If We Hold On Together" with Keali'i Reichel on his "Kawaipunahele" album. Also, "Mokihana Lullaby" can be heard on "A Place Called Hawai'i 2" and "Ku'uipo, Aloha Wau Ia 'Oe" can be heard on "Pure Hawaiian." |
