Arrived Hilo LATE Friday - too late for the kahiko competition.
But today began sunny in the beautiful town of Hilo and there are a day full of performances ahead in Kalakaua Park. Just heard Darlene Ahuna and fellow falsetto contest winner Hiroshi Okada of Japan. Coming up still today: Cyril Pahinui and Palani Vaughan.
And as I write this from my PDA, hiki mai ka ua kani lehua o Hilo. That's more like it...
