No problem...just record something now and I'll put it up on SoundClick (just make sure it's public domain or you have permission to post it). Hopefully the CD will just be the start of our sharing.

My pleasure Pauline...it's been kind of fun, actually. And, I just added two more MP3s by Keith Marzullo, making a total of six now. And Keith's MP3s are unique to SoundClick...they don't appear on the CD!

Been offline for a couple of days so I have a lot of posts to read. Cpatch - you can put my song up too.
I look forward to listening to the CD when I get home on Monday. Aloha Kevin. Glad you're giving the songs a listen. Thanks for the encouragement! |

Was that our Andy on the double slack swing? Man you guys should be giving some concerts back here in the islands.
Andy was that an original? I've never heard it before. If it is, Can I be your first student to learn it!
Watch out!.... Cali. and the East Coast are for real!!!
Even though I have'nt met all of you yet, I'm so proud! Just to know you. Kiho'alu lives on!

Kevin, I'm with you on "Double Slack Swing." When I put on the CD and that tune jumped out of the speakers I thought somebody had slipped in a ringer. That is one polished piece of work. Sounds like Andy should get busy writing and recording a CD.

Far, far from it!!! I really appreciate the compliments though.
I'm really happy with the way Double Slack Swing came out. Sometimes you play, and you get lucky, good sounds come out. You guys did not hear the other 99%.
Kevin, I'd be honored to teach it to you when I'm on Maui. Piffle, sorry I used two smiley's in a single post. Thanks cpatch for putting some songs up online. Glad more people can give it a listen, including me since I'm not at home to get the mail. |

This is highly amusing...I'm currently #29 on SoundClick's World Music chart. Probably the only time in my life I'll appear on a music chart! Piff...you should be there tomorrow.

We're up to eight now...I just added Don Narup's original piece. I also upgraded the look of the page so you don't have to click to get to the songs. Still at http://www.soundclick.com/taropatch

Tee hee, I just voted all listings as HOT! Spread the word to the world, yea!
Craig, thanks again for doing this. Cmdr Piffle has a better photo, too. |

Thanks Pauline. A free set of John Pearse strings goes to anyone who can identify the real subject of Cmdr. Piffle's photo at SoundClick. First correct response to this thread wins.

Craig--how long do you plan to leave the SoundClick page up? I just got the check-copy of the AG piece on Hawaiian music on the web (which I finished before the CD project was completed) and a brief mention of the CD and the web posting (with a URL) would make a nice addition. I think the article will be in the June or July issue. Will the site still be live then?
My copy came today, and I'm listening to it right now for about the fourth time. There's some *very* polished playing here. Thanks again to Raymond for making it happen, and to Craig for making a subset generally available.
