A blatant plug -- KKCR here on Kaua`i is the state's only community radio station (rural, commercial-free), supported 100% by listeners and grants...and our twice-annually pledge drives.

Our Spring pledge drive is happening now, ending April 30.

If you enjoy our Hawaiian music -- or any of the other great programs -- and want the station to stay on the air, please consider calling in your donation. Premiums are offered -- tune in to hear them all: www.kkcr.org

Mahalo!

You, know, if you itemize deductions, your contribution to community radio is a charitable gift and, as such, comes "right off the top" as a deduction. So.... would you rather support Hawaiian music on community radio or give the money to the IRS so the government can do what they like with it? For me, it's KBCS here in Seattle.

AND...community radio stations are supportive of each other. During the most recent pledge drive at KBCS, we were able to offer a special premium during our Hawaiian program: six CDs from the "Talk Story" series produced by ... KKCR!
