Press release from Hawai`i Academy of Recording Arts announcing two of the adjudicated categories:
Haku Mele Finalists (best Hawaiian language composition):
1. “He Mele No Kaua’i Kuapapa” by Ipolani Vaughan for Ka Lehua ‘Ula, Weldon

2. “Ka Lehua A’o Waimea”by D. Pono Murray for He Aloha.., Cody Pueo Pata

3. “Lei Ho’oheno” by Kainani Kahaunaele for Ka Lehua ‘Ula, Weldon Kekauoha
(‘Ohelo)

Glad to see my friend Weldon Kekauoha name on the ballot for the Haku Mele Finalist and Best Hawaiian Language Performance. Ho'omaika'i and Pomaika'i to all the nominees!
