OK no lie...You put mayo on da stew?. Me? Yeh...but I no tell da dockta. An gotta be Best Foods. Mama complain 'cuz sometime get streaks in da poi bowl.
Speakin' about poi...I wen leave da bowl on da table fo couple days jes fo make um little bit mo sowa...I was wachin da news and I wen hea one clink. Wazzat? I wen look aroun and da plate on top the poi bowl wen clink again...Hoo I wen lif up da plate....da bugga was miko cuz was kina on the sunny-side of da table. I wen use da spoon fo move da top paht of the poi on da side, but I no can eat da top paht...had bubbles. Oni can eat little bit unda neet. My uncle, he would eat da whole bowl...me I no can go dat fah! Hooo...2 day poi and raw opelu roll-up wit pa'a kai, chili peppa, limu kohu and inamona...'scuze brah...I goin eat (again).

Bubbles are a natural part of the fermentation- ono if you no baddahed by da sour. Not miko! I like poi any kine- but best is fresh and warm out of the grinder- some sweet! Nice blue api'i from my organic lo'i in Waipi'o, of course- I no care too much for lehua, people only like it for the pink color.
Waipi'o side dey like put one-two cans of sardine in one bag poi- squeeze um real good den pop one puka in da cornah an suck um down, whole bag. So ono!
Oh, I miss my lo'i- and the poi too, of course!

ho, da 2 day old kine stay real ono ... trow some ahi poke inside ... mmm. I like da fresh stuff too. I no tink i wen like poi too much until i wen try da real fresh stuff ... home made. Since den, I love um!
Talk about mayo ... no foget inside da chili too! ova rice ... mmmm. My wife tot i was nutz, until i wen make her try um too :-) |

Yeh...I like da blue one...ka`i? But 1 day or 2 day. I no like wen dat one come sowa. My son-in-law dem dey sell da Maui Lehua. Dey get about 85,000 plants. Dat one get kinda one bite wen come sowa too, but depends on da menu. Some ono wit dry he`e or dry `i`a (any kine) or dry `opae.
