I've been listening to AM940 here in Hawaii and almost every hour they play selections from Darrell Lupenui's solo cassette he released in 1987 on Kealohi Records. Just wondering out loud if we can expect it to be released on CD soon. Or is it just wishful thinking?
That particular recording is owned by a group of folks who -- despite frequent requests -- cannot agree on re-releasing it on CD. I've spoken to one of them (Teresa Bright) a couple times...it's not a decision she can make on her own, unfortunately.
I play it on my shows, too.

Yes, I know some of the people associated with the project. I know Teresa has probably supported its re-release, its just too bad that the other parties can't agree.
I hate to say this but a lot of people are missing out. I hope the other parties wake up and see the precious treasure they have. My dollar three eighty on the subject.
