Hmmm.... Kevin, Sheldon, Ikaika,Geri, and Pekelo are performing at a local venues in Wailuku. I'm not sure if their schedules still accommodate those Waihee Saturday kanikapilas. |

Aloha, Dusty I should've mention to you when I saw you at camp, we don't play in waihee because there going to do some construction work on the grounds. So we moved location to a place call Maluhia. We havn't had any kanikapila's there but for sure Maluhia will be the new place, when we gather together maybe kitty can take some pictures, the mana there feels really good!
It'll be on Saturdays, just have to find the Saturday's that we're not busy and have the time to get together. I'll see if we can at least have some pictures so everyone can see our new home for kanikapila.
Pop's every first Monday's of the month we meet in Wailuku town a place call "Unisan". Slack key and Sushi is the sign you'll see, Ola Hou is the name of our band, it's located at 2102 West Vinyard Street Wailuku. (808) 244-4500.
Me Ke Aloha Kevin, I'll give an update on Maluhia later. |

Howzit Uncle Kevin,
It was so good to see you at Uncle George's workshop. Even though I had to leave on the day you arrived, I'm glad I got to sit in on two of your sessions and learn some of that sweet 'Ohana Brown slack key. Mahalo for teaching and sharing your time with us.
Aloha,
Doug |

Kevin showed us the future gathering site for kani ka pila on Maui today. He shared the history and stories of the area which is called Maluhia, located in lower Waiehu. Kevin is busy August, but we may try to schedule our first seaside jam some Saturday in September. Stay tuned………….

Looks like a nice spot from here too. Maybe a little bit of wind from the water to keep the skeeters away. Looking at the pictures, it looks like it might be next to the Iao Stream outlet, down Kaae Road or past the end of Kukona Place. Or maybe a little further up past the end of Pakele Place.
In any case, not far from the Waihee Church.
It would be nice to jam there sometime and the wife always likes jamming at the beach too.
