I might be attending the Roy Sakuma Festival too. Maybe we will bump into each other? If I go, it is going to my first time.

I'll probably be there since I'll be on the island. I believe Hiram's group is performing this year, but not sure... |

Yes indeed, The Hui is playing. Unfortunatly I won't be there. The last time we played there our groupies got the front row in the shade seats! Good work! |

Hi Les, If you're looking for music on weekend nights check out the hotels and see what they may have on the menu...or go to your favorite band websites and check where they may be performing....James |

We are doing 4 songs. Hawaiian Fantasy/HBell, Eleanor Rigby/Beatles, Wave/Jobim, and Ulili E. There are only 12 of us this time. Les, please be sure to say hi if you get there. On Wednesday, July 23, I am featuring 2 of my students at the Wildest Show in Town, a summer series of concerts at the Honolulu Zoo put on by Roy and Kathy Sakuma. We go on about 5pm, right before the main show. A hui hou... Hiram |

Hi Uncle Hiram: I will be there. I will look for you. My Oahu ohana and some from the mainland will be there too. I see that your group is scheduled 6th. My nephew is in Uncle Roy's Boogie group, which isn't until 38th. We get to listen to a lot of music. Its going to be a great time. I need to check out the ukulele's for sale. I am still working on the lesson sheets you handed out at the workshop at Griphon. Aloha, Les |

Hi All: We went to both Makiki Sunset In The Park and the Starbucks Ukulele Festival last weekend. On Sat in Makiki we got to see Jake Shimabukuro and other music for free and ate good food. On Sunday Kapiolani Park lots to see and do. Many ukulele companies were there I almost bought a tenor, but I held out until I could compare them side by side. The ukulele music was awesome, from keiki to the mayor and the pros. Uncle Hiram and his Hui was a crowd favorite and they did a great job. It was a fun busy musical weekend Alana and DaUkeMeisterMike did you guys make it there ? Les |
