This is beautiful indeed! Come listen to the sophomores at Kamehameha Schools sing a beautifully arranged choral version of Keali'i Reichel's "Ka Nohona Pili Kai." Prepare to be wowed. Ho'omaika'i to them for winning the song contest!

The lyrics were indeed created by Puakea & K -- but the melody is an Okinawan song, "Nada Sou Sou".

Interesting that although K plainly noted that on his CD, it did not get included on the Kamehameha Schools' film... ??

On the latest CD by Manoa DNA, they combine both the Hawaiian and Okinawan songs into a nice medley.

I have the Manoa DNA CD... I liked the way that they combined it together with Ka Nohona Pili Kai/Nada Sou Sou! Its awesome!

Anyone notice that in this topic, at least, one letter e comes out as two e's? Andy, could you look into this? Mahalo!
