Aloha from Houston,

Looking for info on two of Ray's songs. Anyone know if Home Sweet Home and East Side West Side is his original compositions. I would like to learn both of these songs, but there are'nt any Tabs.

Appreciate any info.

Both are old "piano bench" tunes from the 19th century--the latter's title is "The Sidewalks of New York." Google them and/or look them up in Wikipedia for background. They're not hard to get by ear in any case--three-chord jobs. As I recall, Ray would present them as examples of how anything could be adapted to slack key.
