Here is a priceless video of Gabby "Pops" Pahinui and Peter Moon filmed in 1977 for a T.V. special. Performing Waialae in the classic backyard style only these 2 could bring. Question. Comments. Free free to discuss. ^_^

Dat you Petah Boy? We have choke videos of you with Unko Cyril and Palani Vaughn. Welcome to da Patch. And hehe - Auntie Wanda has just looked at da video you posted above before you wen post it. It will be on my Sunday list of swell videos listed under the "Talk Story" thread. Come look every Sunday for the list.
One comment I have about this video is I have never seen anyone's thumb flying like Peter's when playing the guitar on this song. He was playing the melody with his thumb and fingers were not doing anything. Is that from being used to playing `ukulele, you reckon?
My husband had a pickup jalike dat on his old 12-string Eko. |

Mahalo nui for posting this. What a sweet session! I love the octaves-shades of Wes.
And thanks, too, for reminding us that playing music is all about communication & fun.
Looking forward to more of your involvement here on Taropatch.
cheers,
