I am not big into politics, and don't intend to start getting heavily involved in the future:
However it seems to be an important year, and I want to make sure that I encourage my friends to help steer the country.
Registering to vote is something that is easy to do and is one of the few things that the average person can do quickly.

Do it, and then vote when the day comes.

Aloha,
-Konabob

PS - Posting political discourses will not make poor Andy's job easier. I recommend that we don't post political views, but rather take the matter directly to our local ballot box. Be kind, help Andy keep the Patch a friendly place.

Right on, KB. If you don't vote, you can't complain about the outcome. Well, you can, but you won't get any sympathy from those of us who did vote.

I would rather cherish what we, a group of pretty diverse people, have in common instead of fight about our differences. Regardless of whom you're going to vote for, please vote.

Dittoz what Momi & KonaBob said.

Besides if you nomo register to vote, how you gonna get picked for jury duty? That's how they pick juries ovah here in Ohio. I just finished jury duty shortly ago and it was quite the experirence and quite an education. I guess I did not learn enough from Judge Judy and Judge Maybelline and Judge Joe Brown and Judge Greg Mathis and dem.

But yeah, the taxation without representation thing was a hard battle fought and won. It is your kuleana to make your voice heard through the ballot box/computer screen/punch cards/hanging chads, whatevah.

Me ke aloha
Malama pono,

Yes - that is the motto for us Floridians!

More seriously, I do like to vote early in the morning to see what the turnout is going to be like.
