Just got this email:

Hey Bob,

Here's a magical ukulele moment caught on tape: a video of the impromptu ukulele / yodeling duet I did with Ralph Shaw at the Wine Country Uke Fest last weekend. Too much fun! I walked around with a smile on my face for about an hour. Check it out here and feel free to pass it on:

Cheers,
James

I know I'm repeating myself, but I didn't want any to miss this mental image:

The last time I saw Ralph Shaw (the man with the bowler hat, bow tie and tuxedo), he was crammed into Susi Kagami's RAV-4 along with Keoki Kahumoku, Susie Kagami, Herb Ohta, Jr., and all their luggage--with Keoki's guitar strapped to the top. I figured Ralph would be talking Hawaiian by the time they got to the airport. But as they pulled away from the curb, they all started yodeling. What a hoot! I miss them all already.

If you haven't seen this clip, YOU MUST!

Unbelievable! I am so glad someone caught that, probably on a cellphone. It was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. Those two were hilarious.

Sure made for a fun Saturday....

This clip is from uke builder extraordinaire Mike DeSliva-- I saw him taping with a good sized video camera & great big shotgun mic. Too bad he didn't pan the crowd-- I had almost as much fun watching the stunned expressions on people's faces.

I'm so glad he posted the clip-- I'd tried to explain this bit to a couple of friends and just could not come close.

I'm off to the Eugene Ukulele Fest in a couple of minutes--can't wait to see what James comes up with next.
