In conjunction with the 2009 Southern California Slack Key Festival, Cyril will be conducting a ki ho'alu workshop January 17th, the day before the show. Time and location not confirmed yet but looking like it may possibly be at the Hermosa Beach Surf Museum 10am-12pm or 2pm-4pm. Lots of really good eats right on that street too, like cajun food (YUM!), seafood, as well as stuff like El Pollo Loco, etc.
It'll be a fun weekend! Workshop, reception, and show!

Update: Ki Ho'alu workshop with Cyril will be 10am - 12pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Catalina room on the 17th and the Ukulele workshop with Kunia Galdeira will be 2pm-4pm same place, same day.
Cheesecake Factory, Delzano's By The Sea, Samba's, Ruby's Diner, etc., are all there right across the street to eat lunch at, Ruby's probably being the cheapest.

If it's anything like the workshop in Marin, expect a wonderful experience. No one plays like Uncle Cyril, and he shares with total generosity.
