Braddah Dan, I'm hearing some high rave reviews from da gig you folks had last night. I heard dat braddah Kamaka was "Da Bomb" and dat his pidgin comedy presentation was well received even by non-pidgin-speaking audience members, and dat his sidekick ki ho'alu player was very ono sounding too!

Mahalo for that! It was a good night and I was happy to have been a part of it. Kamaka was in good form, as were Uncle Roddy, Bruddah Robert an' Kawika. Coffee Gallery is a great setting for that style of music and show. I hope we can do it again! Planny "bi-linguals" in da audience. But talking with some of my animation colleagues who attended who don't know "da kine" still enjoyed it very much, as there was a universality of days gone by... |
