This isn't anything really important, but I just noticed that it seems "Rap's Hawaii" got plenty slack key stuff on it. In fact I believe it had Punahele towards the beginning when he's pretending to be the old man. Just something I noticed. What do you guyz think of him by the way?

I think Rap was brilliant. He got popular in during my formative years, so I can still recite long stretches of dialogue from some of his sketches. I think of him whenever I hear the words "Fate Yanagi," "Ten Samoans, I am trapped," "How come I come I stay you go?" "cheeseburgah deluxe," "Tanimitsu! Mitsuyoshi!" or "Oh, Renton . . ." And he left too soon. |

Ditto.
Rap's "Booga Booga" partner, James Grant Benton, also left way too soon. I recall reading a news article with James' wife vividly describing how one moment he was sitting in his chair with a lit mosquito punk in his hands chasing away mosquitos, and the next moment he was gone, still holding that lit mosquito punk.
I decided to look it up again. Here's the article. |

Yes. I'm sure, I'm sure. |
