My good friend, 'ukulele virtuoso Bryan Tolentino will be visiting us in the Bay Area later this month for a couple of workshops and intimate performances. Official dates will be forthcoming, but just wanted to put the word out and give a heads up. He will be joined by the equally talented Asa Young. It's been a while since Bryan's visited so you won't want to miss this rare opportunity! Stay tuned!!!

at the end of April. Just a mere co-incidence I guess!!

Bryan is a great player and seems to be a warm and friendly guy, too.

Are you going to play with him Steve? - would make a great combo!

Aloha! Yes, I'll be sitting in with Bryan and Asa at some capacity...should be a fun kanikapila! Zeroing in on the dates and it looks like there will be shows in both the SF area and Santa Cruz...

Here are some of the details for Bryan's California trip (it's not just Northern CA!). Asa will be with him at all venues:

Saturday April 25: 'ukulele workshop and concert at Kawika Alfiche's Kaleo Cafe http://www.kaleocafe.com/ in San Francisco (w/special guest Steven Espaniola on bass!)

Sunday April 26: Northern California 'Ukulele Festival in Hayward http://ukulelefestivalnorcal.org/index.htm

Monday April 27: performance and workshop in Santa Cruz area – either at Timmy's Aloha Island Grille or possibly at Bocci's... details TBA (also w/special guest Steven???)

Wednesday, April 29: in Encinitas (N. San Diego county) for Franklin Leong's “Moonlight Strummers” 'ukulele group at Today's Pizza & Salad (481 Santa Fe Drive 760-753-6425), 7:30 to 9 pm. Tickets are $15 (includes pizza and salad).

Thursday April 30: TBA, possibly more in San Diego!

May 1 & 2: at Island Bazaar http://www.ukuleleparadise.com/events.html in Huntington Beach for workshops and concerts

Aloha no! Sorry for the delay. Here are the details for the San Francisco workshop and concert. I've also been informed that this will be the final concert at Kaleo Cafe as they will be closing their doors. I will be performing a few songs during Bryan's set. Santa Cruz details coming soon!
