Dear Mr. Pali: Please give Auntie a darn swell pau hana party, too.She is going to join the ranks of folks like me. We're gonna just sit in a rockin chair and knit or crochet afghans and tea cozies. Maybe even some crewel work or even embroidery! Ui-ha.

Also, Dear Mr. Pali: Anything on the legal ruling of that guy what used to put Pakele Live on the You Tube? I think his name was Hoaikane or something lidat. Been so long, and we have missed some swell music. Hawai`i is chock full of swell music, not like over here in Ohio where you get the Raspberries or the James Gang guys. In Hawaiian, they probably would be the Hui Kimo.

Anyhow, congratulations on the CD release. Sounds like it is going to be an amazing event.

"...with Aloha" from Auntie Wanda & Unko Paul (in the snow).

Me ke aloha
Malama pono,
Wanda

Looking forward to the party! New Pali album is grrrrrreat, like Tony the Tiger grrrrrrreat! You get two cds for the price of one. Highly recommended.

Hey Auntie Maria, you going to be there? Always brings a smile to my face to see you in person!

Also looking forward to seeing Kalapana! Have you folks heard DJ Pratt (who does the Pakele sound) play the guitar? He is a closet shredder. Absolutely fantastic guitar player.

Heh...Pali and I were in a race to see who could get the least amount of sleep while getting the packaging art and stuff done for ...with Aloha.

He won by one hour...then CRASH!

Gonna be interesting to see Brad (PALI) and DJ (Kalapana) pulling double duty - setting up the equipment and resetting it between acts, running the sound, and playing... (ok, not all at the same time, but still...)

For those who aren't familiar, the party/concert will take place in the Pakele Lounge at the Ala Moana Hotel (410 Atkinson Dr., Honolulu). The lounge is at the opposite end of the lobby from Rumours. Admission is free - no cover, and no minimum. Parking is free next door at Ala Moana shopping center. Drinks and pupus (kala mai, not free!) are available in the lounge.

Two links to watch live online: http://www.pakelelive.com/ and for those in Japan http://www.j-wave.co.jp/

Waaaaaaaaay fun night! Pali's version of "Kawika" rocked the house -- definitely the highlight of the evening for me. Loved the "band" of Del, Chris and Bryan (those pros can jam with anyone, anytime); great to see and hear "the boys" -- Jon & Darin -- playing again; LT and Don rocked!; Led solo...always a joy; with Cyril added, it only kept getting better and better.

By 9:30 I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer and headed up to my room...having to miss the Keawe `ohana and Kalapana (drat) -- but heard from others today that the party went on until after 10pm, and could easily gone longer if the hotel had allowed it. Wow!!

Mahalo NUI loa to Pali had his wonderful gang for an amazing evening (and my u`i lei!).
