Jim was an important and much respected member of our Santa Cruz 'Ohana.
He will be missed very much. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and friends.

haunts me sleeping and waking."

Jim will be missed by so many -- from California to Hawai`i and beyond.

His writing was exceptional; his narration of Eddie & Myrna Kamae's films were always "the icing on the cake"...and he was such a humble, witty, brilliantly talented gentleman.

My sincere condolences to Jeanne and the family. It was truly an honor to have known him.

I'm sad to know we won't be seeing him at the Film Festival and at other Hawaiian concerts. He was a great, calm, presence, with a willing smile and a gentle word.

Saw a comic in the newspaper yesterday, where a daughter was complaining to her mother that all her friends were making great strides in their careers and starting families, to which the mother replied" "All my friends are dead or dying."
The daughter replied" "You always know the right thing to say."

Sadly, for the last few years we've heard of the passing of so many friends and dear ones, and I realize that it is the passing of time and the passing of stages that is the reality, nevertheless, it still haunts me when good, wonderful, people leave this earth for the next leg of their journey.

Blessings on their next adventures.

Julie
