I just got off the phone with Jay. He sounds amasingly good for someone who had the neck surgery through his mouth. And he said he did not miss a beat in eating his kaukau. The doc was amazed that he ate without any problem. Jay told me he has never had a problem eating, especially what with being allowed nothing to eat or drink after midnight Thursday a.m. He promised me that he has not pinched any nurses on the okole, so at least his wife won't put him back IN the hospital. And he is going home today. How can you surgerize a guys cervical vertebrae one day and send him home the next day? Ai-yai-yai. He said the doc told him no housewor or yard work for a while. Now that is something swell to take advantage of.
Bottom line: my Jay-baby sounds good and we have great hopes for a good recovery. He said thanks to all you guys for your prayers and well-wises. And he wondered who gave away his secret. I blamed it on Jack. |

Howzit good people of da Lo`i,thank you to each and everyone of you for your thoughts and prayers.I'm humbled by your words of encouragement and concern.Only time will tell if the surgery went well, still feels like someone slicing me open with a scalpel,10 being the pain level.Throat is still tender, which makes swallowing hard.Back of neck feels like I was blind sided, but all in all I'm hoping for the best.I cannot wait to play again, you guys might get tired of me and braddah duke once we get goin again.Watch out jesse videos goin be coming But again thank you all! You humbled a guy that was goin stay quiet.Your aloha brought me back,I feel good about that.Much mahalo braddah jay |

The word that came to Momi's mind when I read this to her was "excellent!"
I couldn't agree more.
Glad to have you back - physically & electronically, Jay. Heal, brah, heal! |
