I just received the Flea that I ordered for my daughters birthday and it is just the cutest thing. It has a wooden neck, molded plastic fretboard, palstic body with a painted wooden soundboard. It is not loud, but has a nice tone. The strings are easy to press so it will be perfect for little hands and the tuning pegs are well constructed and feel like they will hold a tune for many years. The bag is padded and is constructed of heavy cordura with a solid zipper and strap. As an adult I would probably go for the Fluke for the size and multiple tuning possibility but for a child I think this is an excellent choice. At a list price of $135 with bag it is not cheap but I think is well worth it considering its solid construction and sound.
