In the last two years I have received emails from people who are coming to Kona on vacation or as participants in Aloha Music Camp. Often I am asked about the possibility of renting a guitar here rather than bringing going through the "Airline Ordeal".

It's been 5-6 few years now, but have I rented from them. It was an Ovation, a mid-priced model. Not sure, but it was ~$60 for the week plus a new set of strings. I took it aboard the Kona Agressor (live-aboard dive boat). With all the scuba gear, we could not bring along a guitar too.
