Stageit is a webcasting service aimed at providing a backstage or casual encounter between artists and their audiences. My fingerstyle guitar playing buddy, Doug Young, has begun hosting shows on Stageit, and has invited me to participate.
Stageit is trying to provide a way to fund artists, by creating a virtual ticket and tip jar system based on "notes" - their name for their currency. Our show will be "pay what you like" but the minimum purchase of "notes" is $5.00 (50 notes) due to processing fees.
Since our show is only a half-hour at 7PM PST, we'll be over and out of the way by the time Pakele Live kicks off. I hope you'll join us for this show.
