Well, Merrie Monarch is over. What a Merrie Monarch it was. There was some amazing hula presented, indeed, by ever halau in the competition. Me, though. I am very biased. I was rooting for my halau -- Halau Mohala `Ilima and I am proud to say that my hula sister Lilinoe Sterling is the new Miss Aloha Hula. Her `auana performance was "Kaulana Na Pua" and call me biased or not, her hula was stunning. Aunty Mapuana de Silva and the ladies also took top honors in wahine hula `auana and 2nd place in kahiko, taking a 2nd place overall finish.
