Thanks to everyone who came out to the Club Fox last night and Don Quixote's on Tuesday. The audiences have been so warm and friendly, all our miles of driving and late nights are repaid with interest. Seems like there are folks from the islands, even relatives, at every show so the talk story is a big part of each evening.

Now we have a week off, and it looks like we'll need it since two of us woke up with a mean cold this morning. I'm sure we'll bounce back for the trip north, I'm really looking forward to the scenery and the folks we'll meet at the shows.

My goodness, I'm feeling a bit embarrassed. Somehow I misunderstood the bookings and thought I was opening _all_ the shows on the tour, but it turns out I was not needed at the Shedd Institute show tonight in Eugene. Well, more Ledward for the lucky folks in the audience - the sound seemed fantastic to me, and it was great to get a full on dose of Ledward at his best. What does it tell you when he has so many great songs in his catalog that he never got to "Radio Hula" until the encore?

Well, I sure hope you are opening at The Triple Door in Seattle --- because that's what I told our listeners when I played your version of "Grandfather's Clock" on the radio show today!

Thanks, Terry. We're on our way to a radio interview this morning so we'll start getting warmed up early. You can listen in here: http://kbcs.fm/site/PageNavigator/listenlive.html

I've finally gotten a bit of video up, two clips of Ledward in Eugene at the Shedd Institute.

Hi`ilawe - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zjQ7u2PK8M

`Akaka Falls - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QF4cV27ThHI

Last night in Portland we played a charming venue, the Alberta Rose. A small neighborhood movie house converted to a performance space, they bring a variety of shows to the Alberta Street scene. Alberta Street in the northeast seems to be a great place for food enthusiasts. We had a few wonderful bites at Bar Lolo, a tapas bar across the street from the Alberta Rose, and earlier had sampled the exotic ice cream flavors at Salt and Straw, while friends told us of other culinary adventures up and down the street.

The audience was wonderfully warm, and for the first time this tour Ledward and I got a chance to do a little "backyard" style together. The FOH engineer shot video of the show and said he'll be posting some clips soon. I'll post links when I find them.

Nice! I love that eclectic space - saw some friends from Canada there last year. See you tonight.

That's what I love about Portland. The town is full of great little places, little neighborhoods and districts. I love visiting there.

On a sadder note, I'm sitting at home with no car while the Jeep languishes in the shop with starter problems. Bonnie is in Portland (of all places) with the other car so I won't be able to make the performance tonight!! AAArrrrrgggghhhh!

To Fran, Ledward and all: "Geevum!"

Fran, thank you for putting up the videos of Led, I really enjoyed seeing him. I hope you'll both come back soon and next time you'll get a chance to play, too! I would love to see some backyard jamming with you two. Matthew

Terry, sorry to hear about the Jeep problems. I think we gave 'em pretty good. Sure was fun to spend a little time in Portland again. If we didn't spend every spare minute in Hawai`i we'd probably be in the northwest a lot more.
